What is my salary as a chef?

As a chef, you typically earn between €2,300 and €4,000 gross per month, depending on your skills, experience, location, and position.

What happens after I have applied?

Our team will reach out to you within 3 working days to discuss your application. If it’s successful, we’ll schedule an appointment with you.

Can I work part-time?

Absolutely, our vacancies typically range from 24 to 40 hours per week, making part-time work an option.

What does my schedule look like?

Your schedule is based on your availability and the operating hours of our clients. You’ll coordinate this in advance with each other. In certain instances, such as, you may have evenings and/or weekends off.

In which places does Recolo have vacancies?

Recolo offers vacancies across the Netherlands, with the Randstad region typically offering the most options.

Will I receive travel expenses?

This depends on your place of residence and workplace. However, in most cases, you will be reimbursed for your travel expenses.

Is experience as a cook necessary?

While experience is typically required to work as a chef, we do offer opportunities for those without prior experience. We frequently have openings for assistant cooks without experience. At Recolo, we prioritize growth and invest in your development through courses we provide.

How long can I keep working at this job?

If the match between you and the company you are placed with is successful, you can continue working there for the long term and, in most cases, have opportunities for growth.

Do I get a guaranteed number of hours?

In most cases, Recolo provides a contract with an hour guarantee. This agreement must be arranged in advance among you, Recolo, and the company where you will be employed.

Can I obtain my cooking diploma through Recolo?

Yes, this is possible. However, it’s essential to verify in advance whether there is a (certified) teacher available at a Recolo client. In this scenario, Recolo covers the cost of your training, and you can work for our client as an apprentice.

Do I always have a permanent contact person at Recolo?

Yes! You will always have a designated contact person at Recolo. You can discuss any matters with them, and they will always be there for you.

How many days a week are you available?

We are available seven days a week.

Can I also be employed directly by the client?

If the match between you and the company where you will be working is successful, then in most cases, there is an option to transition into a direct employment relationship.

Can I also get accommodation trough Recolo?

Unfortunately, this is not possible with Recolo. We only provide job offers but not accommodation for new colleagues. It happens sporadically that we offer possibilities with accommodation.
